Get connected to tablers all around the world by just a few clicks. Or invite other tablers to join the Round Table Community.

Publish your Table' s events

Each day, I receive a lot of emails of events being organized by Round Tables in Belgium. Some I' ll visit, others I won't because of other obligations. But very often I just forget them because there is no central way or point of contact to see which activities take place.

With the Activity Stream on the Homepage, it gets very easy to follow events organized by tables worldwide. With the event calendar you will not miss a thing! So, use the community site to publish your table' s events and show them to other tables worldwide.

View profiles and add new friends

Looking for a tabler to bring a visit or to go on international? View profiles and add friend tablers easily. Once you are connected you can send each other messages via the site.

Share your photos and videos

Show pictures of your social projects, meetings or internationals. Let other tablers see how your table is doing :). Add blog entries and invite new candidates to get a taste of what they can expect when they become a tabler.

Create your own group or join others

As a table, create your own table group, and discuss any topics going on in your table. Or join groups of other tables. Tip! Create your table's own group.

Speak your own language

Mostly I work in multi-cultural environments, so I learned that the best way to communicate is to speak your own language. It doesn' t matter which country you are from, just speak your own language. If you want to contact or meet other tablers in other countries I'm sure there will be a language in common to speak.

How to use the website

Choose a username

When you register to become a member of the Round Table Community site it is important to choose a recognizable username. Please use following format:

YOURNAME_TABLE_CITY for example Tom_RT55_Diest.

Once you are logged in

You will see 5 tabs, displaying 'Home' | 'Profile' | 'Friends' | 'Applications' | 'Inbox'

Home

The 'Home' tab shows all members. You can choose to view the Newest, most Active or most Popular members. Also a view of the Activity Stream is displayed here. You will see all recent events passing by.

Profile

The 'Profile' tab shows your profile. Here you can edit your profile picture, profile details and set privacy parameters.

Please fill in your address and set it to public or private. If your profile is public you will show up on the mobile Layar application (iPhone and Android). Tablers near you will be able to contact you in an easy way from there mobile device.

Use My Status to enter a short description of what you are doing, or which events are coming. It will showup in the Activity Stream and in the popup when someone points to your profile picture.

From the 'Profile' tab you can also manage your applications, start new groups, invite friends, write messages, view your inbox and upload photos.

When you scroll down you will see the default installed applications. These are Friend's Locations, Wall, Myblog and the Eventlist.

Fiend's Location

When you spent some time and you already have a number of friends, a Google map will be shown with an indicator showing where your friends are living.

Wall

The Wall application let's you post short messages on your Wall that other people can read and comment on.

MyBlog

Tell us about your table' s events, meetings or internationals. Use MyBlog as your blogging utility, and let all of us enjoy your talbe's experiences.

Eventlist

Post your table's events in the Eventlist, so everyone knows what will be on the agenda. Over and done with the excuse "I didn' t know!"

Friends

Use the 'Friends' tab to manage all your friend tablers. Search for tablers and invite new tablers to join the Round Table Community.

Applications

The 'Applications' tab shows all the functions and groups you can use to get the best out of the Round Table Community site.
When you are the first member of your table who registers please create a group for your table. Use following naming convention: RTTABLE_NUMBER CITY COUNTRY like our group: RT55 Diest Belgium.

The core applications are installed default for every new member. These are Friend's Locations, Wall, Myblog and the Eventlist we just described above.

Next to the core applications you can install a number of other applications. Goto 'Applications' -> Browse to show the complete list.
